Bursary Opportunities

At Kakungulu High School, we are committed to ensuring that every deserving student has access to quality education, regardless of their financial background. Our Bursary Programme is designed to support talented, disciplined, and hardworking learners who demonstrate both academic potential and genuine financial need.

The bursary scheme is offered in two categories: full bursaries, which cover tuition and essential school requirements, and partial bursaries, which cater for a portion of the school fees. This initiative aims to empower students to focus on their studies without financial barriers, enabling them to achieve their academic goals.

The Full Bursary (100%) at Kakungulu High School is awarded to exceptionally deserving students who demonstrate outstanding academic potential, special talents, strong discipline, and significant financial need. This bursary provides comprehensive support by covering full tuition fees, and may include essential scholastic requirements to ensure the student can fully participate in school life without financial constraints.

In addition to academic excellence, students with exceptional abilities in areas such as sports, leadership, music, drama, or other co-curricular activities are also considered, recognizing that talent plays a vital role in holistic development.

Beneficiaries of the full bursary are expected to maintain high academic standards, uphold good conduct, and actively participate in both academic and co-curricular programs. This opportunity is designed to nurture well-rounded individuals and empower learners to achieve their full potential.

The Partial Bursary at Kakungulu High School is designed to support students who demonstrate academic potential and special talents but may not qualify for a full bursary. This bursary covers a portion of the school fees—such as 25%, 50%, or 75%—to ease the financial burden on families while enabling learners to continue their education.

Recipients of the partial bursary are expected to maintain satisfactory academic progress, uphold good conduct, and actively participate in school programs. This initiative reflects our commitment to providing opportunities for learners to grow, excel, and achieve their full potential.

• Be committed to active participation in school programs and activities
• Be willing to comply with all school rules and regulations

• Bursaries are reviewed annually and are not automatically renewed; continuation depends on performance and conduct.
• Recipients must maintain the required academic standards throughout the award period.
• The school reserves the right to withdraw the bursary in cases of misconduct or failure to meet expectations.
• Application deadlines must be strictly observed; late submissions may not be considered.
• All bursary funds are credited directly to the student’s fee account and are not paid out in cash.
